Everyone loves having their hair done – there’s just something about having someone else take care of your hair that makes you feel like new.
Some might say it’s the epitome of wellness and self-care.
That’s why 19-year-old Sheryl prepared many early morning alarms for her date to get a new date.
However, despite Sheryl waking up super early, it all went downhill quickly after booking with a “hairdresser from hell”.
She shared the hairstyle drama on TikTok and it has now gone viral.
Sheryl was about to book her appointment when she received a text at 9.24am.
Fearing the worst, Sheryl felt the hairdresser was going to cancel.
But, a quick sigh of relief as a few minutes later the hairdresser asked if the teenager wanted to reschedule for lunch.
Sheryl agreed to the reschedule – only to have it pushed back further.
“Could you come for 3 instead, I’ll give you a 20% discount, sorry it’s my fault,” the hairdresser pleaded.
Eager to get her hair done, Sheryl hesitantly accepted the new time slot.
However, the stylist was about to get very cheeky.
In a text to Sheryl, the stylist asked, “If you don’t mind spending the big Asda, could you get me: two packs of Kingsmill white bread, unsalted butter (any is good ) and a carton of oat milk.
“I’ll pay you when you get here.”
Confused by the message, Sheryl wondered if she had sent it to the “wrong cat” by accident.
“Oh no if you want me to start as soon as you get here that will help as I still need to get some groceries otherwise I hope you don’t mind waiting around 30 mins when you get here here,” the stylist replied.
With the bread and butter shopping list to get her hair done, Sheryl decided to cancel and ask for a refund.
We’re sure Sheryl didn’t shell out any money to become a personal courier for the day!
But, the stylist apparently didn’t want to return the money.
Stunned by appalling customer service, the teenager made it her mission to get a refund pointing out how ‘unprofessional’ the stylist was.
Desperate to get her hair done, when Sheryl was offered to be seen the next day, she was tempted to accept the offer.
Surprisingly, the stylist said she would need a “£10 fee” from Sheryl.
The cheek of it!
After Sheryl pointed out that she had been nothing but respectful of her time adjustments, she demanded a refund.
Avoiding returning the money, saying her ‘bank transfers weren’t working’ and she was ‘leaving London and going back to college’ – Sheryl had had enough.
She asked the stylist to go to an ATM to withdraw cash.
But she still avoided reimbursing Sheryl and then blocked Sheryl from all social media.
Luckily for the TikToker, she got a refund after contacting her bank after getting nowhere with the hairdresser.
Who would have thought that a loaf of bread would be a new requirement for getting your hair done?
