Amber Norris came to Davis in 2014 and her sister Ginger Sadlier moved from Los Angeles in 2016. They decided to open Refinery Salon because they both had a passion for teaching. Having their own salon allowed them to create a working environment as well as weekly haircutting and coloring classes, with Ginger teaching hair color and Amber teaching haircutting.
It was the perfect combination of a highly skilled work environment that Ginger and Amber wanted their staff to enjoy. The sisters strive to operate in a highly creative and driven environment. Customers visiting the salon should expect a level of technical expertise in trend and style combined with a relaxing experience. And, in return, they voted Refinery the best salon in Yolo County.
“Each of us at Refinery Salon would like to take a moment to express how much we appreciate all the support we have received. Our community has inspired us and given us so much to be grateful for,” they said. at The Enterprise. “The peak we’ve had is the huge outpouring of support. We’re also so grateful to our owners Dave and Lea Rosenberg, and each of the Odd Fellows. Thank you for all the love and patience. We n would not have survived the past two years without your continued support.
Education is a very important part of the refinery trade show environment. “Our stylists have ongoing training offered every Monday morning starting at 10 a.m.,” they said. “Our models receive a free haircut for participating in our training experience. Each stylist undergoes annual hands-on training through Sassoon Education. We will be closed for a few days in June and welcome Sassoon Educators to our salon for our teaching higher education and our practical courses.
Most of Refinery Salon’s training came from Sassoon Education. Amber and Ginger together have 30 years of Sassoon education experience. They are very inspired by sharing their education with the next generation of stylists. Having traveled to Los Angeles, San Francisco, London and New York, they are proud of their people and all that they work to create.
