A Swaledale hair salon has changed its name as its owner celebrates ten years in business.

Reeth’s hair salon has changed its name for 2022 and is now called Swale Hair Spa.

The change was made ten years after owner Hannah Allison took over the business.

Hannah, who joined the salon as a young stylist before taking over the shop in 2012, said: “I loved The Hair Salon with its purple walls and fantastic hair transformations, but I want to give more to the community.

“I want to build a place where everyone can visit to not only look good, but also feel good.

“For some it’s a quick haircut to tidy up their appearance, for others it’s creating a new style and color confidence. And then there are those who yearn for a moment of relaxation by getting pamper.

“We believe our new management can deliver just that.”

Hannah added: “Swale Hair Spa will be equipped to look after the well-being of every client and staff member who joins us.

“A new name and a new sign are just the beginning!

“We hope the community will trust our new name and spread the message that we are the place to go for high quality hair treatments and a diamond-grade experience.”

Hannah said the salon offered a menu of new treatments.

She said years of hard work and thought went into the rebranding.

“It was fun working with a graphic designer on the new logo and finding the perfect colors and I hope others will love the signs and gift certificates as much as I do.

“The long trips to research and buy new equipment were tiring, but it was worth it to offer the best to our customers. I cannot thank my family and friends enough for their support of the business as well as their practical help with the stripping and redecorating of the premises.
