BRENTWOOD, Tenn. (WKRN) – Two hairdressers in Brentwood are refusing to return to work until their business provides additional safety measures.
They work at Great Clips at Nippers Corner. Thursday morning, a mother and her daughter came to have the mother’s hair done.
According to the hairdressers, the two ladies felt that one of the stylists was disrespecting the mother. The manager took over his service and offered it for free, but the woman refused. After the manager finished the service, they both left Great Clips upset.
Six hours later, a man came to insult and threaten the two stylists for the mother’s treatment.
“That response was unwarranted and it was not disrespected,” stylist Cary Reynolds said. “He was very threatening and said he would hurt us.”
On the front door of Great Clips is a sign that says closed due to staffing. This is in response to the incident that happened on Thursday.
A police report has been filed and stylists told News 2 that a Metro detective will investigate the incident.
In the current climate of mass shootings and violence, the two stylists fear that this man is trying to kill them. They are considering having a restraint issue against him.

Since Friday, they have been asking their store owner to have an armed security guard on site. If they see no change in safety, they will consider looking for another workplace.
