Friends from Swadlincote open new hair salon in town

Two friends have decided to join forces by opening their own salon in Swadlincote.

Tania Bickley and Samantha Brown have just opened Unique Hair Boutique on Church Street and have already had a busy start in their new business.

The stylists have worked together before and decided that now is the time to enter into a partnership because it seemed like the perfect opportunity.

They have now been open for two weeks and have had a very busy start.

Tania, 32, has been fully qualified for 16 years and Samantha, 29, for 12 years.

Tania said: “It was something we always wanted to do and the opportunity arose so we just wanted it. It took a month to set in and we love it.

“It’s just the two of us for now but we’ll be looking to rent chairs in the future. We’ve always been self-employed but it’s good to set up the living room the way we like it and finish it off. touch like contactless phone chargers – we’ve tried to go a step further.

“We built this ourselves from the ground up and knowing that we both achieved this is very rewarding, rather than having it passed on to us. We wanted something a little unique and different.”

With the help of their partners and daughters, they did all the work themselves to get it ready for the opening, adding that extra personal touch.

Tania added: “Please come down for some pampering. Come down and take a look, we are here to help our customers and we love a challenge.

“We are very proud to have successfully opened our own salon during a pandemic and to have worked extremely hard. We hope you enjoy our salon as much as we do.”

They offer all hairstyling services which include bridal hair, extensions, cut and color and festival hair.
