Case filed against hairdresser Jawed Habib for spitting on a woman’s hair during an event in Muzaffarnagar

A video of hairstylist Jawed Habib is going viral on social media, in which he is seen spitting on a woman’s hair while styling it at an event in Muzaffarnagar. In the video, Habib is heard saying to the public who was present at his workshop: “If there is a lack of water, use saliva”.

Apparently, Pooja Gupta, a resident of Baraut town, on whose hair Habib spat during the workshop, filed a complaint against the hairdresser at Mansurpur police station in Muzaffarnagar. We learn that an FIR has been filed against him under sections 355 (assault or criminal force with intent to dishonor a person, other than by serious provocation) and 504 (intentional insult with intent to cause a breach of the peace) of the Indian Penal Code, and relevant sections of the Epidemics Act.

After his video went viral, many netizens criticized the hairstylist for his inappropriate behavior. Following the backlash, Jawed Habib issued a statement of apology through a video message.

Meanwhile, a video of Pooja Gupta also went viral on social media, in which she revealed how things went wrong at Jawed Habib’s workshop.

She said: “At Jawed Habib’s seminar, he invited me on stage for a haircut. He misbehaved with me and tried to show how saliva can be used instead of water. during a haircut. I didn’t opt ​​for the haircut.”
